MAHD Sports Academy and Lean Business Services signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support digital health transformation in the sports sector and develop an integrated health and wellbeing model that embeds digital health and data-driven preventive care within athlete development, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

MAHD Sports Academy and Lean Business Services, a company of the Public Investment Fund and a national leader in digital health solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support digital health transformation in the sports sector and develop an integrated health and wellbeing model aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in quality of life and human capital development.
The MOU aims to introduce a new approach to healthcare in sports by embedding digital health within athlete development ecosystems. This model enhances performance efficiency, enables data driven preventive care, and supports the long-term sustainability of national talent development.
The collaboration includes leveraging advanced digital health technologies to monitor athletes’ health and performance through a data-enabled ecosystem that tracks key health and physical indicators, analyzes workload and recovery, and empowers medical and technical teams to make informed decisions that balance high performance with athlete safety.
In this context, Mr. Abdullah bin Faisal Hammad, CEO of MAHD Sports Academy, stated that the partnership reflects the academy’s vision to discover and develop talent while preparing future champions and leaders. He emphasized that integrating advanced technologies and modern sports science into training both on and off the field drives innovation, supports continuous development, and enables more precise decision-making, contributing to national, regional, and global achievements.
The collaboration also reflects a shared commitment to building a sports environment where athlete health is central to training and development, shifting from a traditional reactive healthcare model to a proactive, preventive approach that integrates digital health into athletes’ daily lives.
For his part, Eng. Mohanned AlRasheed, CEO of Lean Business Services, noted that the partnership reinforces Lean’s role as a national enabler of health and wellbeing. He highlighted that embedding digital health and data across early stages of talent identification and development helps create a balanced sports ecosystem one that supports high performance while safeguarding athlete health and contributes to developing generations capable of achieving national, regional, and international success in line with Vision 2030.
The MOU also includes technical integration with national digital health platforms, most notably the unified health record platform nphies, enabling the management and tracking of athletes’ health data within a unified national ecosystem. This integration strengthens collaboration between the health and sports sectors and enhances the quality and efficiency of services provided.
This partnership builds on Lean’s ongoing role as a national enabler of digital health transformation, supporting initiatives that advance preventive health, connect technology with human development, and contribute to Vision 2030’s goals of a more efficient and sustainable sports sector.
The MOU reflects both parties’ commitment to enhancing strategic partnerships that place human health and quality of life at the heart of sports development, empowering a new generation of athletes to compete locally and globally within a comprehensive and sustainable health ecosystem.
