Cooperation agreement between Lean and Riyadh Holding Company

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, January 2026: Lean Business Services Company, a Public Investment Fund company and a national enabler of digital health transformation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Riyadh Holding Company, which leads the implementation of the Riyadh Region Municipality’s strategic initiatives to develop an integrated urban model that redefines health, wellbeing, and quality of life in the capital. The collaboration centers on Al-Malaz “Sport Sphere” Oasis project, part of the broader Riyadh Oases Program.

Under the MoU, urban planning will be integrated with digital health intelligence from the earliest stages of design and activation, ensuring that health and quality of life are embedded as core pillars of urban planning and development. This integrated approach aims to transform urban destinations into environments that actively support preventive health, physical activity, and long-term, sustainable wellbeing for residents and visitors alike.

The partnership represents a practical shift in the concept of wellbeing from traditional healthcare services to health enabling lifestyles embedded within the urban environment. This includes physical activity, high-quality public spaces, accessibility, and data-driven health decision-making. The model also enables adaptive urban spaces that evolve continuously based on usage patterns, behavioral insights, and measurable health outcomes

In this context, Eng. Asim Al-Suhaibani, Chief Executive Officer of Riyadh Holding Company, emphasized the company’s role in contributing its urban development expertise to position people at the heart of Al-Malaz “Sport Sphere” Oasis. He noted that collaboration with Lean, as a national enabler of health transformation, will support the use of health data, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence solutions to enhance healthy urban planning, measure impact, and continuously improve user experience.

Eng. Mohanned AlRasheed, CEO of Lean Business Services, highlighted that the partnership marks a strategic step toward expanding the concept of health and wellbeing from service delivery into everyday life. He explained that integrating digital health with urban planning enables the design of cities where human health and quality of life are central to development, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The MoU includes exploring and developing joint initiatives and projects that bring together health, sports, and digital investment, while strengthening technical and operational integration to deliver a smooth and reliable user experience. The collaboration also aims to link initiatives with national digital health platforms, enabling more informed and effective health-related decision-making.

Al-Malaz “Sport Sphere” Oasis serves as a tangible application of this vision, representing an urban destination where design, technology, and health converge to transform public spaces into active drivers of wellbeing and quality of life, supporting the development of more vibrant and sustainable cities across the Kingdom.
